Importation and Distribution

Louis Maclean is the exclusive Importer and Distributor of three Distilleries from South Africa and Spain. It imports and distributes wines of different varietals, brandy, brandy cream, and non-alcoholic beverages. With its Chamdor Sparkling Bubblers from South Africa, the company is the leading distributor of non-alcoholic sparkling grape juices in the Philippines.

The long term plan of Louis Maclean is to import and distribute not only wines and spirits but also food and non-food items that have broader market. It has imported and distributed hard and soft candies and biscuits from Thailand in 2000 and 2001. After having imported and sold a relatively substantial volume of these products, it decided to discontinue it because of short shelf life of the products. While the company is focused on its wines, spirits and juices during the past two years, it did not stop from looking for suitable products for the Philippine market, specifically canned vegetables, fruits and juices and non-food items.

The company distributes its products nationwide through very reliable and tested distribution network that covers major supermarket chains, groceries, convenience stores, small family retail stores (called sari-sari stores) as well as institutional and corporate accounts.

Louis Maclean believes in developing brand names on products that it carries for its Principals. It plans, develops and implements aggressive Marketing strategies for each brand with the end in view of achieving volume per stock keeping unit. It believes on products that can be developed into big-ticket items at very affordable and reasonable prices.
